Overall, I am satisfied with the insurance I have for my pet. And this is because I know there are ups and downs with any pet insurance company. What I like most about Pets+ is that their customer service listens to your issues and responds accordingly. The only thing I wasn’t pleased about was my premium going up each time I moved from one city to another. Well, my job requires it and it seems quite unfair to pay extra because of it. Anyway, Pets+ is ok and reliable. It is a great solution for those that want to have access to the best care for their pets.

I was never a fan of insurance companies, no matter if they were human plans or pet plans. But at some point, after I got my dog, I decided I needed coverage. So, I got insurance from 24petinsurance; I wasn’t so pleased with the service and decided to switch to Costco. After some tedious initial check-ups and tests, my pup got accepted into the Pets+ plan. Still, my beloved friend fell extremely ill, which led to several expenses. At first, I was quite displeased with how things were done inside Pets+, and I was so frustrated that I blamed them for everything. Anyway, my dog was diagnosed with cancer, which in turn made the vet prompt us to consider surgery. And, of course, it was an expensive surgery I couldn’t afford. The claim I submitted with Pets+ was delayed, additional info was required, and I felt hopeless. And to tell you the truth, I wasn’t sure why we needed so much money or how my dog would get treated. After Pets+ verified my latest claim wasn’t a fraud and asked additional information from my vet about the incoming surgery, everything went smoothly. They paid almost 90% of the costs, which saved me a lot of trouble. And I wanted to apologize for my initial rage. This dog meant a lot to my family and was with us for quite some time. I believe that in that moment of distress, I wasn’t willing to accept - or try to understand - how insurance policies work. In the end, I had a good experience with this company, and their staff was more than sincere with me. And when my poor dog needed to be put down to stop his pain, Pets+ paid for the euthanasia, too. Thank you all for your understanding and patience. I will always recommend Pets+ as the best pet insurer!

I was amazed at how unprofessional this company is. I constantly wonder how it is possible to tell a client that you admit you mistakenly set up a withdrawal date, but you can’t do anything about it. And to add casually that the client must pay for two months instead of one! I mean, my withdrawal date is three days before the date it was intended to be. And on top of that, they don’t want to fix this even though I suggested I wanted to insure my other pets. As such, I insured my other babies with another provider. And my awful experience goes even further. The claim was tedious to submit, the processing timeframe was embedded with a lot of hassle and only a couple of my requests were reimbursed quickly. It is frustrating, and it gives me a lot of headaches. Currently, I am trying to figure out how to move my pet another provider. I would rather have all my pets insured in one place, with a reliable company, rather than continue this thing here.

I won’t give ten stars, but at the same time, I won’t be dishonest with you and say this was a dreadful service. Pets+ is ok, but it needs small improvements to become a leader in this market. Anyway, besides a little hassle with my claim, I’m happy my cat is covered by Pets+. The best part about this policy is that the deductible needs to be paid only if you use the insurance. So, it is a relief to know that your rates don’t go up insanely, like with other providers.

When my dog started to get ill, I was concerned that Pets+ Us wouldn’t accept all my reimbursement requests. Everything began when my dog started having some trouble walking. Initially, my vet believed that my pup just got off on the wrong foot, and his muscle was aching. But after a couple of days, I rushed my dog back to the vet’s office, as he had trouble getting up. That was the moment when my vet requested additional tests, including an MRI, which revealed my dog had hip displacement. This resulted in expensive surgery and post-op treatment I honestly couldn’t afford. But Pets+ Us was there for me and reimbursed everything. And the rep I talked to was extremely friendly, which eased my anxiety about the claim process. Anyway, there is room for small improvements, and I would like to have access in the future to online services. That’s what Pets+ Best can improve to make their services even more professional. It is quite hard to keep track of all those emails you receive with a claim submittal.

When I adopted my dog from the local shelter, he had a six-week insurance health plan with Pets+. And it was the best thing that ever happened to us! After a month, my dog was involved in a car accident, and I needed assistance with his veterinary bills. I was pleased when I discovered how fast the claim was processed and reimbursed.

Pets Plus Us Claim Process

After your coinsurance and annual deductible are met, Pets Plus Us reimburses you for a percentage of the covered cost of your pet's care and treatment. Have your vet fill out and sign the appropriate Reimbursement Request form, then submit it with a copy of your paid invoice. You can be reimbursed by check or direct deposit.
